Countryfile

Sunderland, UK

Countryfile is at the coast in Sunderland, where restoration of Roker Lighthouse is nearly complete. Ellie discovers the secret tunnels used by the lighthouse keepers to get to the light in rough weather.

Simon is definitely one of the best. He's versatile, creative, collaborative and an all-round lovely person to have on a team. Simon will always go above and beyond to get the best value on screen. He's a creative lighting director and beautifully lit live locations for Autumnwatch to best reflect the season. He works very well with on-screen talent who feel supported and reassured by him. He works quickly and efficiently, takes direction and works calmly under pressure.....whilst not losing the need for beauty in every shot. He has a beautiful eye, frames each shot perfectly and understands the editorial. He takes his work seriously and can always be relied on to deliver - whatever the circumstances. I would work with Simon again and again and recommend him unreservedly to any production.
